About Crest Services

American Baptist Homes of the Midwest (ABHM)

ABHM has provided health care, affordable housing, and supportive services to people of many ages, cultures, and conditions for over 80 years.

In 1930, amid the American Great Depression, five members from the American Baptist church, former the Northwest Baptist Home Society, later renamed the American Baptist Homes of the Midwest.

Their purpose was to “provide Christian homes for the aged and dependent men and women and provide for their physical and spiritual comfort” and “establish and maintain homes for orphan children.”

Today, ABHM provides services and homes to a broad spectrum of clients, including Senior Living Services such as Nursing Services, Assisted Living, and Independent Apartments. ABHM also assists with the developmentally disabled and subsidized housing for seniors.

ABHM provides services in the following states: Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
